MANIAC Symposium 2024
The second Mapping Autonomic Neural Interaction and Control (MANIAC) symposium took place on Wednesday, September 24 2024. Thiy years speakers included: Peter Dayan (Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics, Tübingen, Germany), Dana Small (McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada), P. Read Montague (Virginia Tech, Roanoke, VA, USA), Yoav Livneh (Weizmann Institute of Science, Rehovot, Israel) and Ivan E. De Araujo (Max-Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics, Tübingen, Germany). We look very much forward to next year!
CSSBP 2024
This year, the 1st Cologne Summer School in Biological Psychiatry (CSSBP) “Frontiers in Transitions” took place from August 26 to 30. 2024. The program comprised lectures by international experts in the field, workshops on recent methodological developments and a cultural program. 15 national and international students from Austria, Spain, Italy, Turkey and Brazil attended the Summer School. Social events, including a CSSBP conference with poster presentations by students; a welcome events and summer school dinner, completed the program that was very well perceived by students and faculty from different Universities. Overall, the 1st Cologne Summer School in Biological Psychiatry was a huge success and it is planned to establish the event on a regular basis.
MANIAC Symposium 2023
The first Mapping Autonomic Neural Interaction and Control (MANIAC) symposium took place on Wednesday, September 13 2023 from 11am to 4pm, at the Institute of Anatomy, University of Cologne. The symposium was organised via our UoC Emerging Group supported by the Excellent Research Support Program of the University of Cologne, aiming to further advance methods in autonomic neuroscience on campus. Thank you all for your attendance and we are very much looking forward to see you again next year!
